In an attempt to alleviate some of this stress and keep my eye from attracting the wrong kind of attention, I’ve decided to crochet again, and I started working on a snood. I love the style of the 1940s. The hair was just more fabulous back then. I’ve victory rolled my hair on a couple of occasions and it just makes me feel different—in a good way. So I was thinking “what about a wedding snood?” I found a pattern on Ravelry called Perky Snood, which I’ve renamed “Snoo-Snoo-Snoodio” (if that doesn’t put Phil Collins your head, nothing will). I’m a beginner crocheter and this pattern seemed right up my alley. It was easy up until about row 18 when I think I may have misinterpreted something in the pattern. My snood is now oddly misshapen. Sigh. I think I’ll have to take it apart and try again. Luckily, I was able to find another snood pattern I like. This one, despite its name is actually a knit pattern. Maybe I’ll have a bit of better luck with this one.
