Stop, Ruffle Time

The misery of knitting the scarf part of the CEY Zest scarf is finally over. Now the ruffles begin. I guess I was thinking that this would be the easy and fast part of the project. Nope. Nope, nope, nope. I timed myself on the third ruffle row and it took me about 20 minutes to get through it from the time I picked up every stitch until the time I bound off. I have 23 more ruffle rows to go. At the pace I'm going, it will take me about 8 hours-ish more to finish this scarf. A couple hours here, a couple hours there, and I expect this scarf will be done by mid next week sometime.

One time (and sanity) saving thing I had to do was pick up the stitches with a crochet hook rather than a knitting needle. I would say the crochet hook cut my time almost in half. I then just transferred the stitches over to the needle to work on the ruffle. So much easier.
