As summer comes to a close and fall begins to creep in (woo hoo!), I have completed my last summer sweater—the Radian Yoke top from the Summer 2011 issue of Knitscene—and I’m totally going to wear it to Stitches Midwest this weekend. The lacy work at the top was much easier than anticipated and the bottom is just straight knitting with some increasing and decreasing along the way. Blocking really made a difference. Before blocking, I liked it. After blocking, I loved it.

My next project comes from a free pattern that Nina was giving away as part of the Chicago Yarn Crawl. The Ombre Cowl is super easy to make. The hardest part is deciding on which three colors to use and how they will blend into one another.
Tonight I’ll be looking through patterns and my current yarn stash to see what I need from Stitches Midwest this weekend. Yay for yarn!
